Pantomime season kicked off at the Hero World Challenge with Patrick Reed playing the villain role to perfection. On Friday, the American was handed a two-stroke penalty after twice brushing back the sand during practice swings on the par-5 11th hole – prohibited according to rule 12.2b.

Claiming it was an honest mistake, many of his fellow pros called him out on it but the real irony is that Reed ended the Bahamas tournament on 16-under-par, two-shots behind winner Henrik Stenson – ouch.

Why the gap?

It's brilliant to see more club golfers getting fitted for new clubs now than ever before, and long may that continue!

But why would you not get fitted for your wedges?

With modern lofts on irons being stronger than ever (one of the reasons today's irons go further than a decade ago), golfers are often left with huge gaps between clubs at the bottom of their bag.

With lofts available from 46 (PW) to 64 (LW) degrees, we'd highly recommend getting fitted for Cleveland’s RTX 4 wedges as not only will they provide you with great performance around the green, but the correct set-up will easily fill any gaps you might have.

With lofts available from 46 (PW) to 60 (LW) with specific grinds to suit each, we'd highly recommend getting fitted for Cleveland’s CBX 2 wedges as not only will the cavity back design give you a focus on forgiveness, but the correct set-up will easily fill any gaps you might have.
